How To: Share files via QR Code
This is a demo of how to share files, in this case a .mp4 file, via a QR Code by uploading it to SharePoint.
1. Navigate to the Home Learning SharePoint site, when you open SharePoint it is under ‘Featured Links’ in the left. Then navigate to the appropriate school and Year etc.
2. Upload the file to a SharePoint folder. Make sure it is in a file location no one will delete/easily navigate to.

3. Next press the 3 dots to navigate to the file settings and press ‘Share’.

4. Then click on the drop-down menu that reads ‘People in Inspire Education Trust’ and change the sharing permissions to ‘Anyone’. This is so parents with non-IET emails can still view. It may already have ‘Anyone with a link can view’ selected, in which case you are okay.

5. Then in the Share menu click ‘Copy Link’.

6. Then head to a QR Generator Website, you can type this into your search engine or use the one suggested: https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/

7. Then simply paste the link into the field, and it will generate a QR code for you to use.

8. Then I would download the QR Code with the appropriate title and then place this image on a newsletter, email or whatever way you want to send the code to parents/external users.
